What about snacks? Should we snack and if so what should we snack on?
If you are preparing or grabbing a healthy balanced snack then yes, snacking can be a great way to get more fruits & vegetables or protein throughout your day. Snacks are also a great way to get energy for the body after or before a workout, or to carry you through to your meal and avoid overeating later in the day!
To keep your snacks healthy and nutritious, aim to eat fruits or vegetables and combine this with protein. This will make the snack satisfying as well as adding in vitamins, minerals and fiber.

Most importantly, snacking should be done intentionally and when you are hungry or need the snack for energy to support your body.
